From 5 to 7 March 2018 we conducted the first training module to a group of 15 women entrepreneurs from all over Georgia and from different sectors.
There were women producing wine and hazelnuts, women running hotels, women in the logistics sector, women delivering training in food safety and brainstorming, and more! Everything was organised perfectly by our partner, the Women Business Council of Georgia (WBCG) and the Netherlands Embassy in Tbilisi. Yet again, it was a dynamic group and we identified each woman’s unique talent and defined her short-term and long-term plans. We also worked on the women’s mini-pitches and what they wish to achieve while in the Netherlands. Read all about it in their profiles.
Our local partners were ZimTrade and the Netherlands Embassy. ZimTrade incorporated our participants in their regular activities thereby increasing their international reach. Aura factor organized the mentorship program.
'The Brilliant Entrepreneur program resulted in more visibility for the women entrepreneurs as well as for our organisations' - Gera Sneller, Netherlands Ambassador Harare
We trained a group of women from Albania, Kosovo and Macedonia. The Dutch embassies in these three countries were involved. Logistics were taken care of by the Macedonian Women Rights Centre and the Macedonian Mentoring Network coordinated the mentorship program.
We are forever grateful to the Netherlands Embassy in Kampala for giving us the opportunity to pilot our program in Uganda and prove that our concept is working. The Uganda Investment Authority was our valued partner. The group of participants is still very close as a network and they continue to grow.
As a follow up to the Balkan program we organized a seminar in Tirana that attracted over 60 women entrepreneurs from all over Albania. Our local partner was the Gender Alliance for Development Center.
Together with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Netherlands Export Combination (NEC) we organized trainings, network meetings and business visits for a group of women entrepreneurs who were invited by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
