A new year. We have been gifted with another 365 days. They comprise no less than 31,536,000 seconds. That really sounds like a lot. And very precise. At least, this is how it seems to be.
Time is a strange phenomenon. And not half as precise as you think. We try to control our time by measuring it, hence the clock. Nowadays clocks are even synchronised globally. Still, our minds have a completely different way of dealing with time. In our perception, time can fly. Or pass extremely slowly. When we are bored, minutes seem to last for hours.
Time allows us to experience things. Imagine if time did not exist. This is relatively easy if we take music as an example.
We hear music because of the rhythm, the duration between the different notes. If you take the timing away, the notes would coincide at the same time and, bam … it would be over! We would miss the joy of a nice song.
In this case, everything would go too fast for us. We need time to hear sounds, experience events and learn new things. Without time, our whole life would be over in one blow. Too bad, right?
Launch your wish
Fortunately, we have time and another new year lies ahead of us. Does it feel long? No, it will be over before you know it. Bam … and it is 31 December 2018.
This is why it is important to be alert right now at the beginning of the year. And to launch your most important wish for this year. At least this wish will then get the attention it needs to come true (before it becomes too hectic and you lose yourself in all the other issues awaiting you).
Get off to a good start this year by taking the following steps.
- What is your wish for this year? What would you like to learn about yourself and/or become proficient in?
- Describe this in no more than three keywords.
- Write down your keywords in your diary on 31 December 2018.
- Choose two other dates at random and note your keywords there too. These will be your refresher moments.
You have now created the foundation for your vision and identified the ingredients that will help make your wish come true. Stay alert and recognise the ingredients when they emerge.
We wish you a very good 2018 with many rich experiences and new wisdom!
